London January 2010 (Contains 24 photos) Views of London in January 2010; it was Winter, and it was cold too, even if we didn't see as much snow as nearly everywhere else in the British Isles	Blenheim Park Winter 2009 (Contains 42 photos) The weather didn't look too encouraging on Dec 27th, but I thought I would visit Blenheim for a walk anyway; when I got there I found the light was very good and I took a lot of photos. Unfortunately I missed the snow, but I hope you will enjoy the light nonetheless!

Blenheim Palace Grounds and Woodstock

Blenheim is one of the best examples of English landscape gardening. This group contains all my individual Blenheim Portfolios.

Blenheim September 2009 (Contains 91 photos) We had a few really fine days at the beginning of September. I dropped everything and rushed off to Blenheim, arriving early enough to get some really splendid photos of the classic Blenheim view of the Grand Bridge and island across the lake. I think they are some of the best photos I've taken of Blenheim; they make a wonderful slide show, and I hope you will enjoy watching them. Blenheim Palace Grounds - Gardens (Contains 3 photos) In addition to the Park there are also extensive gardens around the palace, these include a cascade where water leaves the main lake. There are also extensive Italian gardens with fountains. London Wetland Centre (Barnes)

This major reserve for waterfowl is in West London, near to where I live. Portfolios in this group show photos of the birds and other animals, also the site's trees and flowers, together with some sunsets and storms that I've seen at the Centre.

For images from May 2008 see http://martinjames.photium.com/portfolio31682.html	London Barnes Wetland - Flowers Trees & Skies (Contains 18 photos) Barnes offers a lot of examples of regenerating woodland as exemplified by the silver birch trees, it also has a mass of wildflowers. There is a very wide horizon, which makes it a good place to see dramatic skies and sunsets.

R Thames

Views of the non tidal Thames; I have been visiting parts of the Thames mentioned in Jerome K Jerome's 'Three Men In A Boat', in particular I have travelled over a number of sections by 'Salter's Steamer'. I have also included pictures from the Thames Traditional Boat Show 2009 at Henley on Thames

River Thames Reading to Henley (Contains 47 photos) Views of the River Thames between Reading and Henley. I had so many great photos from this trip that it was difficult to select the best ones. I think it makes an excellent slide-show.	Thames Traditional Boat Rally (Henley - 2009) (Contains 15 photos) Photos taken at the Thames Traditional Boat Rally at Henley-on-Thames in July 2009. I rather like the traditionally constructed Thames boats and there are a surprising number of them still in existence; some of them, like Alaska, (constructed 1883) are of a considerable age. Also included are a few non boat photos that caught my eye.
River Thames Goring Gap (Wallingford to Reading) (Contains 26 photos) I went on a Salters Steamer from Wallingford to Reading and back in order to photograph places mentioned in Jerome K Jerome's 'Three Men in a Boat'. I don't think I could have wished for better weather, the Sun shone all day, there were hardly any clouds in the sky, and there was barely a breeze.	River Thames - Windsor to Marlow (Contains 30 photos) I made the trip between Windsor and Marlow by Salters Steamer on June 4th. The light was a little disappointing for the Windsor- Maidenhead section, but after Maidenhead the light improved and there were some awesome views of the stretch below Cliveden.
London River Thames Richmond to Hammersmith (Contains 53 photos) Photos from a walk along the river on December 17th 2006. There was a brilliant light and the tide was in too!	London River Thames Autumn Winter (Contains 59 photos) Photos from the River Thames between Putney and Richmond; I like the way that the light changes over the seasons.
